SHELLEY BROWNE, BSN, RN, CLNC obtained a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from Cedarville University in 1986. She worked primarily in acute care settings with medical/surgical, geriatric, orthopedic and oncology patients before finding her passion in Women’s Health. This led to a transition into the field of obstetrics, including labor & delivery and maternal/child. Ms. Browne served as adjunct Maternal/Child Professor at Adventist University of Health Sciences 2005-2008. After 30 years of clinical practice, she received certification as a legal nurse consultant in 2016 and joined the firm.

PAMELA CURREN, BSN, RN, LNCC received her AA degree from University of Florida and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the Medical College of Georgia. She has practiced as a legal nurse consultant for more than 25 years and was among the first group of LNC’s to achieve certification in 1998. For over a decade, she was the co-coordinator and instructor for the Legal Nurse Consultant course at University of Central Florida. Ms. Curren’s clinical nursing experience includes medical/surgical nursing and PCU, serving as the unit’s preceptor. She also worked as a home health nurse and a ship’s nurse, after which she worked in quality assurance for one of the larger hospital facilities in the Central Florida area. Her experience in quality assurance then led her into the legal nurse consulting arena. Ms. Curren is a member of the American Association of Legal Nurse Consultants and a member of the Greater Orlando Chapter of American Association of Legal Nurse Consultants.

DEBORAH SMITH, RN, LNC received her AS degree in Nursing in 1997 from Indian River Community College, and joined the firm in 2015. Ms. Smith’s clinical nursing experience has primarily been in cardiology, but also briefly included pre-op and the mother-baby/newborn nursery units. She has also worked as a home health nurse and was an Assistant Director of Nursing at a skilled nursing facility. Ms. Smith has been working as a legal nurse consultant since 2005, with experience in worker’s compensation, Social Security, personal injury, peer review, medical negligence and medical malpractice cases.

JILLIAN TALENTO, BSN, RN, CEN, LNCC received her AS degree in Nursing from Lake Sumter State College and her BSN from South University. Her nursing background includes over 16 years of acute care experience in the Emergency Department setting as well as specialty certification in emergency nursing. Jillian transitioned into legal nurse consulting in 2018 and joined our firm shortly after. She is a member of the Emergency Nurse Association, the American Association of Legal Nurse Consultants (AALNC), and serves on the Board of Directors for the Greater Orlando Chapter of the AALNC.

JUDY A. YOUNG, MSN, MHL, RN, LNCC is a nurse with over 42 years’ experience, 20 of which were served in the US Air Force. Ms. Young’s LNC experience includes defense of mass torts/product liability and medical malpractice. She has many years’ experience as a critical care nursing expert. In addition to decades of critical care experience, she has been a nursing school director and instructor, and has experience in nursing administration and flight nursing. Ms. Young has a master’s degree in nursing from University of Oklahoma, and a master's degree in health law, from the Sheppard Broad Law Center, Nova Southeastern University. She is active in many areas of nursing, and is a member of American Nurses Association, Florida Nurses Association, American Heart Association, American Association of Legal Nurse Consultants and the Greater Orlando Chapter of American Association of Legal Nurse Consultants, where she serves on the Board of Directors.
